久しぶりにザ・カハラ・ホテル＆リゾートでディナー！に行ってきました。毎月数回、ホテル内のレストランで特別ディナーを開催中。今回は、9月10日に「シーサイド・グリル」で行われた「ピッグ＆ピノ」(Pigs & Pinot)ディナーを食べてきました。そう、豚肉料理とピノノワールのペアリングです。両方とも、甘みとスモーキーな味わいがあり、ピノはポークおよびハワイの料理に合います。
まず、こういう景色を見ながらのワインディナーは何とも言えませんよね。最高のシチュエーションではないでしょうか。
ワインのマスターソムリエは、以前アグラーメンでワイン＆ラーメンのペアリングをした時にワインをセレクションをしてくださったパトリック・オークボさんです。ワインはフランス、ニュージーランド、オレゴン州、カリフォルニア州などからのセレクション。
今回の食べ放題ビュッフェは、1人$50。お好きなだけポーク料理を堪能できます。
来月上旬からさらに3回ほど、「ザ・ベランダ」と「ホクズ」でスペシャルディナーがあります。予約が必要となるので、お早めにご予約ください。

Sake Dinners is the next emerging trend in world class cuisine. With the success of Joy of Sake in Tokyo, Honolulu, and New York City, the organization have started “After Taste,” which are smaller intimate events. The sakes are usually hand selected to pair with each menu item. The Kahala has an close relationship with The Joy of Sake. We have collaborated on multiple events.
